We are a non-profit organization dedicated to being the catalyst that builds students into future leaders and self-confident, well rounded adults.
The Talmadge Trust for Leadership and Achievement (TMG) is a mentoring and academic development program for Philadelphia high school students interested in pursuing a post secondary education.
The Talmadge Trust for Leadership and Achievement was founded in 2008 to give urban youth the opportunity to pursue higher education at the rate of their suburban and privately schooled counterparts.
The organization has a history of providing volunteer tutors for students in math and reading comprehension, along with helping students complete homework assignments and special projects required for grade level completion. The Life: 101 project is a major initiative started within the organization. The program will provide students with real-life tools and resources needed to be successful by participating in monthly sessions focused on time management, mentorship, financial literacy, drug and alcohol awareness, career development and volunteerism.
Mentors are typically college students or recent college graduates who meet with high school students once a week to provide personal assistance, tutoring and character development sessions to participants who are motivated to attend college.
